APS 2026 — What You Need to Know
The 2nd International Congress of Ultrasound and Perinatal Medicine, organized by the African Perinatal Society (APS) in collaboration with the International Academy of Perinatal Medicine (IAPM) and The Fetus as Patient, is a landmark gathering of perinatal health professionals from across Africa and beyond.
Building on the success of the inaugural congress, APS 2026 brings together the world’s foremost experts in obstetric ultrasound, perinatal medicine, neonatology, and maternal-fetal health to exchange cutting-edge research, clinical innovations, and transformative best practices.
Scheduled for August 26–28, 2026 at the prestigious Tahir Guest Palace in Kano, Nigeria, the congress will serve as a critical platform for advancing the quality of perinatal care across Africa — particularly in under-resourced settings.
This year’s theme — “Synergy in Practice: Transforming Perinatal Outcomes through Obstetric and Neonatal Partnership” — underscores the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in reducing maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality across the continent.
